I’M SHELBY, AND PLEASED TO MEET YA.
Howdy! My name is Shelby Pedigo, and I live in Austin, Texas.
Add a little awkward, a little sass, a little quirk, a lot of laughter, and a lot of nostalgia, and that’s me! I am married to my goofball of a husband, Westin, and we have a big-hearted lab, Arlo. We’re quite the little fam. I enjoy good music, acting like I am a foodie, traveling anywhere when I can, and just cherishing the little things in life.
Photography started as just a hobby. When I was young, my mom encouraged me to take photography classes through our local 4-H, so I did. My enjoyment ebbed and flowed all the way to college, where I felt like I was not gifted enough to really enjoy it in any capacity. Fast forward to 2020. I was allowed the opportunity to volunteer (and still do) at a local church in Austin. From there, things grew. My curiosity, my passion, my eagerness to learn more. It went from some “practice shoots with friends” to *trying* to get some cool photos while traveling, to fully doing sessions and even second shooting! If it wasn’t for some certain someones who kept the encouragement coming (you know who you are), I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m really thankful to be where I am right now, typing this out.
NOW — here we are, taking this on as a part-time gig! I discovered photography has and never was just a hobby for me. It is a passion, waiting to be truly discovered. It is the joy in candid moments. It is cherishing the sweet memories. And I hope I can share that with you — print, or session, or however you decide to cross paths with me.
It has been a great journey and I cannot wait to see what is in store. Adventure awaits; let’s experience it together!
